Tanning Tips 

Before your tan
  • Exfoliate and moisturise 24 hours before your tan, paying extra attention to dry areas

  • Please do not apply and moisturisers, make-up, perfume, creams or deodorants before your tan

  • Complete any shaving or waxing 24 hours before your tan to allow the pores to close

  • Wear loose clothing and open shoes to your appointment so nothing clings to your tan and affects the outcome  

  • Avoid Dove products in the 24 hours before your tan

Straight after your tan
  • For your first shower following your session, avoid using any products. No body wash or soap and avoid washing your hair

  • 2 Hour Tans: Shower quickly (1 Minute only) in lukewarm water - not hot water for the first shower

  • 8 Hour Tans: ​Make sure you moisturise your hands and your feet before bed, hands and feet should never be too dark!

  • No exercising or activities that will cause sweating until the day after your tan, sweat is not your tan's friend!

  • Try not to touch your tan during the development time, any tan marks on your hands will develop and be too dark

  • Be gentle when washing in the shower, no scrubbing

  • Pat dry following showers, avoid rubbing with your towel

Maintaining your tan
  • Avoid swimming pools and spas if you can as the chlorine will affect how long your tan will last

  • Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! Your tan loves lotion so moisturise as much as you can to get the longest and best wear out of your tan

  • Avoid long showers and baths as this promotes skin exfoliation 

  • Pat your skin gently with a towel after a bath or shower, rubbing will cause the tan to fade

  • After day 5 your tan will start to fade, start exfoliating on day 6 and book your next one!
