Follow these simple tips for an even, natural-looking tan that lasts.

BEFORE YOUR TAN

Exfoliate 24 hours before, focusing on dry areas.

For best results, shave 24 hours before your appointment. If you need to shave closer to your tan, that's absolutely fine too. wax 24–48 hours before.

Remove all old fake tan before your appointment.

Avoid oil-based body wash, scrubs and moisturisers before your tan.
-
Arrive with clean, dry skin: no moisturiser, deodorant, perfume or makeup.

Wear loose, dark clothing and footwear afterwards.

DEVELOPMENT TIME

Follow your personalised rinse time.

Avoid water, rain, swimming, sweating and exercise.

Don't apply moisturiser, deodorant or perfume.

Avoid touching your skin unnecessarily.

If you get wet, gently blot. Please don't rub.​

​​Your rinse time matters: Leaving rapid or express tan on longer won't necessarily make it darker. Always follow the rinse time provided.

YOUR FIRST RINSE

Keep your shower short and lukewarm.

Use water only. No soap or body wash.

Don't worry about colour washing away; that's just the guide colour.

Gently pat dry, never rub.

Your colour may continue developing after you rinse.

Rapid tan: After your first rinse, moisturise hands and feet to help prevent these areas developing too dark.

Overnight tan: Before bed, gently wipe hands and feet with a baby wipe to help prevent overdevelopment.

MAKE IT LAST

Moisturise daily with a gentle, oil-free moisturiser.

Use a gentle, oil-free body wash.
-
Keep showers short and avoid very hot water.
-
Pat dry rather than rubbing with your towel.

Avoid exfoliating until you're ready to remove your tan.

Chlorine, spas, long baths and frequent shaving can fade your tan faster.
-
Remember: a spray tan does not provide sun protection. Always wear SPF.
